Hexogon Japan and Audio Visual Communication Limited (AVC) collaborated at the 7th Live Entertainment Expo Tokyo 2020 to provide a 5-minute production to showcase the capabilities of VYV’s video display technologies for art and entertainment.
The 3-day Live Entertainment Expo Tokyo held in Makuhari Messe is Japan’s largest exhibition for the live entertainment industry. This B-to-B trade show attracted more than thirty-five thousand visitors featured LED display, pro-audio, pro-lighting and other services and equipment related to the live entertainment industry. The 5-minute production was inspired by the mythological tale of the sun goddess Amaterasu and her brother, took on a modern twist using traditional Japanese Taiko drums that were accompanied by tightly choreographed dance movements. Fluid and synchronised projected graphics moved harmoniously in rhythm with the drummers and dancers were made possible using VYV tracking solutions (with Albion and Photon servers). The entirety brought the performance to live and left the audiences in awe.
“We are delighted to partner with AVC in this year’s Live Entertainment Expo Tokyo. We have enjoyed the working synergy and positive energy despite the short turnaround lead time, and will definitely look forward to collaborating on future projects” commented Adrian Goh, Group Managing Director of Hexogon Solution.
Hexogon Japan remains at the forefront of technology and will continue to collaborate with leading partners in the industry.
