Hexogon Solution executed the second AR-integrated projection extravaganza on the sidewalls of Hilton Orchard for the 39th edition of Orchard Road Christmas light-up with PopAR Live. The 130m outdoor projection mapping with immersive augmented reality is for Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) to celebrate Christmas on A Great Street.

“We are delighted to showcase PopAR Live in celebration of Christmas on A Great Street. PopAR Live mobile application is available on both Android and iOS platforms. This year we expanded our scope of work, covering more projection and augmented reality surfaces, and included music across the entire Orchard Road. Apart from the main AR-integrated Projection Mapping show, pedestrians are encouraged to scan the stars and sparkles on the 40 glass panels on the pedestrian walkway along ION Orchard to Mandarin Gallery and watch them come alive with a surprise on their mobile devices! Specially created content and AR fireworks were also made for Christmas and New Year’s Eve countdown segments. It is a wonderful experience for shoppers and tourists visiting Orchard Road. The Orchard Road Business Association and Team from Hexogon will not just stop here. We will continue to expand the immersive multimedia experience in coming years to ensure that visiting Orchard Road during Christmas is truly unforgettable,” said Adrian Goh, Managing Director of Hexogon Group of Companies.
